Café Coureur is the experience place where Bioracer, the Belgian producer of cycling and cycling clothing, wants to be close to the customer. Last week they were our guests for the recordings of an online bicycle fair and cycling café. This initiative led to a great collaboration.
What preceded
Bioracer has its permanent place at Velofollies. In 2020 the stand was shared for the first time with Café Coureur. As always, the Kwaremont flowed abundantly. However, the largest Belgian bicycle fair could not physically take place in January of this year due to the Corona measures.
An online fair and cycling café turned out to be an excellent alternative. Professional film crews, speakers, guests… were therefore corona-proof guests in Kerniel last Thursday.

The cycling café with a touch of “Vive le Vélo”
None other than Karl Vannieuwkerke welcomed among others Serge Pauwels (ex-pro and current Development Coach Belgian Cycling Team), Loes Gunnewijk (ex-pro and current national coach KNWU) and Piet Rooijakkers (Head of R&B team DSM). This resulted in a fascinating debate about the importance and evolution of clothing within the professional peloton and within the broad cycling community.
We also proudly concluded that the guests were without exception impressed by our infrastructure and the experience.
Decision
we have gained another enormous experience and gathered renewed courage to fly in again after the Covid 19-year:
- on Friday March 26 we reopen our hotel.
- from Saturday 27 March we will start with “take away from our terrace. Every Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 AM and 16:00 PM can you stop for a rice cake or oat cake with a can of soda.
- we organize the classics in April eI'm a challenge for the weekend. Further information will follow via our social media channels.
Véloromantizing greetings,
Team Café Coureur
